A Great Place To Live

Grandview Library – Volunteers

  • Read to children
  • Help with the summer reading program
  • Clean and organize
  • Event support

Volunteering at the library offers enjoyable work in a dynamic environment as well as the satisfaction of knowing how much your efforts benefit the community. It requires a commitment of your time, usually on a regular basis, plus participation in some basic orientation and training. Volunteer opportunities are open to people of all backgrounds who are at least 16 years of age.

All potential volunteers will be asked to complete a State Patrol background check form. Grandview Library will process this form prior to any decisions on individual placement. The library does not place people who have court-ordered community service as volunteers.

All volunteers are required to complete the volunteer log each day they assist. Volunteers are expected to adhere to the same policies and standards as paid staff.
